I made myself a promise at the beginning of the year to shoot for ME every month – a styled shoot, a texture shoot, a nature romp – just SOMETHING for myself every single month along my storytelling photography goals. Don’t get me wrong, I LOVE photographing clients and creating artwork for them, I love helping them to capture their memories and tell their stories – but there is something about an “commissioned” shoot…a freedom, if you will…
So while sitting around this month, thinking of all of the different shoots I could style, I got overwhelmed – the natural solution? Grab a cup of coffee! Come on, doesn’t everyone focus better after a steaming cup-o-joe….hahaha. So I grabbed my cup and headed over to brew a batch of inspiration. The Keurig in my studio happens to sit atop a great antique sewing machine I bought a few years back….voila! Of course, I immediately went shopping (well, after my AM clients) for props. Do you think I could find a sewing smock anywhere? NO! So, I decided to make one instead! Thanks, Grams, for teaching me to sew all those years ago…
So, may I present, the little seamstress…

PSSSSTTTTTT…….this is just the first in a series I’ll be doing all year…..stay tuned.
