So it’s been, well, a while since I have done a Local Love post – but I’ve got a great one for you! AND, it comes with a discount and giveaway – just in time for that holiday stress relief.
I first heard about Soulstice when Kent brought his DARLING kidlettes in for a photo session. Being a sucker for a good massage (who doesn’t love to treat themselves every once in a while) I booked a session with Kent soon after we met. Well, I’ve had massages – I’ve seen different therapists – and I was BLOWN AWAY – and walked out the door felling like jello —-in a GOOD, yummy, delicious way. There aren’t many therapists who can actually get me to relax, who aren’t afraid to work the knots out (and I’ve got KNOTS). Kent is A-M-A-ZING, and while I haven’t been to the other therapists in the business, I’m sure they are as equally stellar at what they do given that every therapist has a minimum of five years of massage therapy experience working primarily with physicians and the medical community!

Research shows that massage:
- Alleviates low-back pain and improves range of motion
- Assists with shorter, easier labor for expectant mothers and shortens maternity hospital stays
- Eases medication dependence
- Enhances immunity by stimulating lymph flow, the body’s natural defense system
- Exercise and stretches weak, tight, or atrophied muscles
- Helps athletes of any level prepare for, and recover from, strenuous workouts
- Pumps oxygen and nutrients into tissues and vital organs, improving circulation
- Reduces post-surgical adhesions and swelling (the therapists at Soulstice are EXPERTS in Peri-Operative massage)
but here’s my favorite snippet from their website (and why I see Kent as frequently as I can):
Stress
Experts estimate that upwards of ninety percent of disease is stress related. And perhaps nothing ages us faster, internally and externally, than high stress. Eliminating anxiety and stress altogether in this fast-paced world may be idealistic, but massage can, without a doubt, help manage stress.
